This week I tasted wine from my home state of Oregon. As many of you know, Oregon is famous for their Pinot Noir. I was pleased to find this bottle of 2015 J.K. Carriere Provocateur WV Pinot at Purple Wine Bar & Cafe. The best part of this tasting experience was that my friend picked it out… and I loved it! The bottle price at the restaurant was $16.
“The wine is a deep ruby red jewel as it sits in glass. The youthful nose is pungent cherry, cola, floral rose, miso and wood-grilled quail. The palate is pure and vibrant as if eating a bowl of raspberry sorbet while breathing in the dark fresh minerality of a damp old-growth forest.” (http://jkcarriere.orderport.net/product-details/0028/2015-Provocateur-WV-Pinot)
