This week we’re tasting wine from sunny So Cal ☀️ Wine of the Week is a 2016 Sauvignon Blanc from Santa Barbara called Seaglass. I found this bottle at QFC, a grocery store chain in Seattle, WA (owned by Kroger) for around $9.
“Kick off your shoes and unwind with a glass of our lovely, refreshing Sauvignon Blanc. Invigorating scents of lemon, lime, grapefruit, and freshly cut grass waft from the glass, while clean, crisp notes of gooseberries and tangerines awaken your palate. With a lively, slightly tart finish, our Sauvignon Blanc captures the free feeling of endless summer.” (www.seaglasswineco.com)

In light of National Wine Day this last Thurday I forgot to post an interesting article and an amazing photo! I guess I can blame the wine for that… 😉 Haha

Today I found 2 great articles from Wine Enthusiast. The first is information about how long wine can stay opened before you need to toss it and the second is advice on how to best choose wines in a restaurant.
Below is a link to an NY Times article that I found rather interesting. I’ve always questioned the idea of wether alcohol consumption makes you gain weight or not. Of course excessive drinking on a regular, weekly basis will increase weight gain but I wonder about weight gain from drinking on a less regular basis.
What’re peoples thoughts on this?
